We have had more snow this winter than what I have seen in my whole life! I am not from Utah originally and it's taken me about 4 years to adjust to the snow in the winter time. Beau and I have a serious case of cabin fever, Beau more so than myself. He would do just about anything to go outside and get rid of his wiggles. Well, wiggles never completely leave a 1 and 1/2 year old, but it helps to run around for a little while:) So, we bundled up and headed out. Poppa (Jerry) was out with the snow blower, clearing the drive way and sidewalk. We watched him for a bit and then Poppa got a cute little sled out and took Beau for a little ride. He had lots of fun! He tipped over once face first into the snow, and decided he had had enough after that. But it was fun while it lasted! Tomorrow is Christmas and I am excited to let everyone know how things go and how Beau reacts! Merry Christmas everyone!!! Yipee!!!

Teething
Beau has the four front teeth up top and the four fronts on the bottom. The last few weeks he has been trying to cut his first molars! This has been a whole new ballgame. He did phenomonal with those first eight. But these molars are tough. They are obviously bigger and seem to be taking longer. Maybe they take longer because they are bigger. He has had a fever at one point and thrown up a couple of times. He is in pain more often than not and BITES EVERYTHING! The proof is in the photo below! I try and do what I can to help ease the pain. I am always open to other mommies opinions and so I would like to share some of the things I do for Beau when he is teething. First, there's always orajel and baby tylenol. I, personally, prefer to try several other remedies before I give Beau tylenol. I found this cool net thingy with a small handle that you can put frozen fruit in. I strip him down, put him in his high chair, and let him go at it. It's really great! This was recommended to me by the lady at 7-eleven. :) Next you can give him a big piece of jerky that he can chew on for a long time. This is my favorite....not messy and seems to be quite effective. Many thanks on this one to my sister Jamee! That's really all I have so far. If any of you have different ideas please share!
Like I said......BEAU BITES EVERYTHING!

Brigham Boyd Andelin
Brigham is the youngest child of my older sister Jamee. He is also Beau's best buddy and cousin, of course. We visited in Reno, where my sis lives, in the summer, and Brigham just loved Beau to pieces. He was always so happy to see him and made sure to take good care of him. Brigham loves ducks and he has alot of rubber duckies. We had a birthday party for Beau while we were out there and Brigham gave Beau one of his best ducks. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen and it made me cry. Jamee says that Brigham will still ask where "bebe beau" is and he will carry things around and pretend that it's Beau. Oh I love it. This is just for you Brigham! We love you. We miss you.
Fun in the Sun in St George
We went to St George a couple weekends ago. TK's parents, Jody and Jerry, have a second home down there. Jody's mom, Grandma Lo, and Jody's brother, Uncle Mike and his wife Aunt Syd, live down there too. I never know how Beau will be in a new place so I am usually skeptical when we go places cause it will either be really fun or suck really bad. Well, lucky for us, it was a blast! The St George home is just beautiful and it is also one floor which meant Beau got to run wild without one of us right behind him. He loved it. I am pretty sure his favorite part of the trip, though, wasn't just his new found freedom, but the big elk head on the wall. He would just point at that thing and talk about it all day. It was nice for Beau to see some more of his family. He's so funny cause he is loud and happy all the time, but when everyone came over to see us he was so shy. It was cute. We're just glad he got to see his Great Grandma and Grandpa, Lo and Fred. And Mike and Syd, too. We miss you all and can't wait to visit soon and hopefully more often! So fun! Next time I will take some pictures of the house....I forgot this time. But here are some of us at the park. And by "us" I mean Beau ;)
I think these flowers are so cool. This one grows on a bush lookin thing

Halloween Fun
Halloween night was alot of fun. We went to TK's sisters house and ate chili and we went to a few houses to trick or treat. It was a little cool out and rainy but Beau couldn't care less. He had so much fun. He loved walking around outside and would stand patiently at each house waiting for candy. When the door would open he assumed we were going inside and would just walk right up to the house, it was cute. Needless to say, Halloween was a success. Here are a few pics to prove it:

A First But Certainly Not A Last
Beau got his first haircut! I have cut it a couple times myself here and there, but I am not good at it and this was his first official one. I didn't realize how much hair buggy had. He did awesome. I took him to Cookie Cutters, which is a place for kids. He got to watch a movie and sit in a cool car and then he got a balloon with a cookie cutter attached to it and I bought him some cool hair gel. The gel is way better than trying to use TK's on Beau's perfect hair cause it's made for his fine, super soft hair. Anyway, it was a good experience for us both. Whenever we are faced with something new, and maybe a little scary, Beau is almost always a good sport. He is just perfect. Quick example (other than 1st haircut): Went to the health department for WIC stuff...bugs needed 1 shot to be up to date with all shots and I decided to get him the flu shot, too...some squirming and a little complaining but NO crying or tears. NOT ONE TEAR! I know grown folks that would cry at just the thought of getting a shot. Not my buggy boo. He did give the nurse a mean slap on the knee afterwards...I did not fuss at him for this...can you blame him? It was actually quite funny. By the way, the nurse was a very large man, but that didn't seem to bother Beau. They high fived and off we went. Yes I am bragging...No it will not stop, not in the next 20 years or so...and yes my little guy is very grown up for a 1 year old and the best looking little thing in the galaxy. I mean he's really got it goin on if you ask me:) Just in case you were wondering. But I'm sure you knew all this already:)

Updates
I have been wanting to blog for some time now, it just seems so impossible. We just use our lap top, and I have no desk for it, which makes it easy for Beau to reach. His little fingers fit right under the keys and he rips them out or he just beats the crap out of the keyboard until everything messes up. I had this post with 4 paragraphs and now I am starting all over cause SOMEBODY deleted it. So I will try and remember everything I wanted to share with you people.
First, and foremost, BEAU IS A WALKIN. He gets better and better each day. I love to watch him take each step with his little mouth open, concentrating very hard, wondering if the next step will be successful or not. He can take about 10 steps on his own before falling, and when he does fall he just gets right back up and keeps goin. He has never cried when he's fallen or even gotten a little upset. Such a big boy!

Beau loves Shrek. He has a little Shrek figurine thingy that we got in a Happy Meal, when the last Shrek movie was out, and he will carry it around with him or hand it to me when he wants to watch it. He will also look at the dvd case and hand it to me as well. It's fun to have some sort of communication with him. Even if it is about watching a movie. He cracks up whenever Shrek growls or gets mad at donkey. And he likes when donkey sings. It's really cute. I would post a video but everytime I try it never lets me. It's always been this way, that's why there's never been a video.
TK took our camera hunting with him so I've only had my phone to take pictures with and that's why they are small. (Even when you click on them) Speaking of TK...he applied for a lead position at his job. He was a temp for a little while and had only been an actual employee for 4 days when he applied for the lead job, so we figured it might be a long shot. It took the company almost a month before they chose who they wanted. They had like 40 people apply and I think they had 5 positions available. And TK got one of them! He no longer works on graveyards. He works the swing shift, which is 3pm-11pm. Which I think I like better so far. We are really proud of him for working so hard.

Our Sunday Morning Adventure
TK took me and Beau on a little hunting trip with him last Sunday morning. I get really car sick no matter what when I don't drive....this has only been since I was pregnant and it just never went away. Anyway, once the sickness passed we ended up having a really good time. It was a little chilly but the sun was out and it was really a beautiful day. We got up around 4 and drove about an hour and a half and then waited for a little sun so TK could see if he was gonna shoot something. (He had a tag for a cow elk) Then we went fishing and this is where Beau and I had the most fun. The proof is in the pics!

Just For Fun
This came out of my Parenting Magazine...I get this magazine every month thanks to my sis, Jamee. It has actually been really helpful this first year. So Thanks Jamee. I just thought this was really cute/funny and really true:
Top Ten Reasons You Fell in Love With Your Baby (and Out of Love With Your Old Boyfriend):
1. His endless babbling
2. He loved snuggling in your bed-but always wanted to go back to his own crib after
3. His way of spending hours roaming around the house naked, his poochy belly hanging out
4. The wet, sloppy kisses
5. He was content to lie quietly and gaze at his navel as you did all the housework
6. His birthday gift to you was simply a wilted flower
7. His idea of dancing was to bend his legs and bob up and down with a goofy, self- congratulatory grin
8. His smell
9. You could always count on him burping right after he finished a meal
10. The fact that he'll never, ever love anyone as much as he loves his mommy

All Messed Up
The next three posts of Beau's birthday are all out of order. The third one is suppose to be first and the words to the post are at the bottom of it. UGH. I am just tired of trying to perfect it all and I give up. You'll just have to deal with it. Sorry.
Some Teeth and a Birthday
The words to my post are under the pics cause I screwed up and don't feel like retyping everything. So you'll have to read and then go back to the pics.
It seems like alot has happened since my last post. Beau has been tryin to cut some teeth for almost 2 weeks now. He has 3 on the bottom and 3 trying to come in up top. Those 2 middle main ones are just yucky. Those are the ones he has been strugglin with. I think they hurt way more than the bottoms ones did just cause they seem so much bigger. I dunno. I just feel so bad for him. I think that they have finally broke skin, from what I could tell last night. It's hard to see cause he usually won't let me near his mouth. It's weird how he looks so much older now with teeth. He is getting so big!
We also celebrated his very 1st birthday on July 25th! Can you believe it? I know I can't. My baby is 1! Crazy, uh? We had a little party with cupcakes and presents when we were in Reno a few weeks ago with my family. Then we had another one on his actualy birthday here in Utah with TK's family. I bought some decorations for the one here in Utah. Just some Backyardigans stuff. He loves The Backyardigans. Jody, TK's mom, got some balloons and a small Backyardigans cake, just for Beau. Anyhoo, it was a wonderful day and I am so happy we have such great families to share this with. I still can't believe Beau is 1...

Boyd Family Reunion
I just got back a few days ago from Reno for a Boyd family reunion. Not extended Boyd famililes, just my mom and dad, Loni, Jamee and her family, and me and Beau. Unfortunately TK had to work and didn't make it. Hopefully next time. We sure missed him alot, but other than that, we had tons of fun. We went to Lake Tahoe which was absolutely beautiful. We went to a local water park and to Toy Story 3. Most of all, we had lots of family time. I really miss my family. I only see them 2 or 3 times a year, if I am lucky, and we are never all together like we were this last week. I wish we all lived closer. It was really hard to leave, not knowing when I will see them again. Jamee lives in Reno so we all stayed with her at her home. These pics are all from my phone, cause my camera battery died before I could really use it and of course I forgot the charger. My dad is gonna send me all the pics from their camera, but they are still in Reno until next week, so I probably won't get any pics until then. So ya'll will just have to enjoy the camera phone the best you can!
