Halloween Fun

Halloween night was alot of fun. We went to TK's sisters house and ate chili and we went to a few houses to trick or treat. It was a little cool out and rainy but Beau couldn't care less. He had so much fun. He loved walking around outside and would stand patiently at each house waiting for candy. When the door would open he assumed we were going inside and would just walk right up to the house, it was cute. Needless to say, Halloween was a success. Here are a few pics to prove it:

A First But Certainly Not A Last

Beau got his first haircut! I have cut it a couple times myself here and there, but I am not good at it and this was his first official one. I didn't realize how much hair buggy had. He did awesome. I took him to Cookie Cutters, which is a place for kids. He got to watch a movie and sit in a cool car and then he got a balloon with a cookie cutter attached to it and I bought him some cool hair gel. The gel is way better than trying to use TK's on Beau's perfect hair cause it's made for his fine, super soft hair. Anyway, it was a good experience for us both. Whenever we are faced with something new, and maybe a little scary, Beau is almost always a good sport. He is just perfect. Quick example (other than 1st haircut): Went to the health department for WIC stuff...bugs needed 1 shot to be up to date with all shots and I decided to get him the flu shot, too...some squirming and a little complaining but NO crying or tears. NOT ONE TEAR! I know grown folks that would cry at just the thought of getting a shot. Not my buggy boo. He did give the nurse a mean slap on the knee afterwards...I did not fuss at him for this...can you blame him? It was actually quite funny. By the way, the nurse was a very large man, but that didn't seem to bother Beau. They high fived and off we went. Yes I am bragging...No it will not stop, not in the next 20 years or so...and yes my little guy is very grown up for a 1 year old and the best looking little thing in the galaxy. I mean he's really got it goin on if you ask me:) Just in case you were wondering. But I'm sure you knew all this already:)

Updates

I have been wanting to blog for some time now, it just seems so impossible. We just use our lap top, and I have no desk for it, which makes it easy for Beau to reach. His little fingers fit right under the keys and he rips them out or he just beats the crap out of the keyboard until everything messes up. I had this post with 4 paragraphs and now I am starting all over cause SOMEBODY deleted it. So I will try and remember everything I wanted to share with you people.
First, and foremost, BEAU IS A WALKIN. He gets better and better each day. I love to watch him take each step with his little mouth open, concentrating very hard, wondering if the next step will be successful or not. He can take about 10 steps on his own before falling, and when he does fall he just gets right back up and keeps goin. He has never cried when he's fallen or even gotten a little upset. Such a big boy!
Beau loves Shrek. He has a little Shrek figurine thingy that we got in a Happy Meal, when the last Shrek movie was out, and he will carry it around with him or hand it to me when he wants to watch it. He will also look at the dvd case and hand it to me as well. It's fun to have some sort of communication with him. Even if it is about watching a movie. He cracks up whenever Shrek growls or gets mad at donkey. And he likes when donkey sings. It's really cute. I would post a video but everytime I try it never lets me. It's always been this way, that's why there's never been a video.
TK took our camera hunting with him so I've only had my phone to take pictures with and that's why they are small. (Even when you click on them) Speaking of TK...he applied for a lead position at his job. He was a temp for a little while and had only been an actual employee for 4 days when he applied for the lead job, so we figured it might be a long shot. It took the company almost a month before they chose who they wanted. They had like 40 people apply and I think they had 5 positions available. And TK got one of them! He no longer works on graveyards. He works the swing shift, which is 3pm-11pm. Which I think I like better so far. We are really proud of him for working so hard.
