Play Time

Beau loves the family dog, Max. He found this pretend dog in the play room the other day. It squeaks when you pull it around. He thought it was pretty cool.

This is a cool little play room in TK's parents house. They had it built directly under the stairs. Since we are currently living in their basement, Beau has full access to this play room whenever he pleases. I think it's the cutest thing ever. And it even has disney characters painted on the walls! I LooooooVE Disney!

Funny Fact: Beau doesn't say Max when referring to Max, the real dog. He points and says "Arf"....which sounds more like "Arc". I am pretty sure he thinks that's the name of all dogs in the world.

For whatever reason I can't post any videos...it always tells me there is a technical error. We took the CUTEST video ever recorded a couple weeks ago and I noticed my dad posted it on his blog. The video is the last part of his post, a couple of pics are before it. Loni thought he sounded like he was throwing up. For the record, he's not. How awful would that be if he was, and Beau was cracking up at it as I recorded the yuckiness?!? (Sorry about the poor quality of the video. I captured it using my wonderfully free not so awesome phone)

POCOYO

Beau and I love watching Pocoyo. Has anyone else ever seen it? I think that it is fairly new to the U.S. but I'm not entirely sure about that. The show tries to teach "learning through laughter". Each little episode is only about 5-7 minutes. Oh it's just so darn cute. We found a dvd of it at a Redbox kiosk one day so I bought it. And now they have their stuff at Toys R Us. So excited! You can watch it on You Tube too. Anyways, just wanted to share the joys of Pocoyo with everyone!

Work and Play

I dont' have many photos of me with Beau....here is a good example of why... We got to go to the park and play yesterday, and here is Beau wanting to play with the camera.

He does get over things pretty quickly. He's a very good kid!

When we went outside, Poppa was out there working, so we decided to try and help out a little. Come to find out, Beau is a very good helper!

FINALLY

We finally got to go outside today. The weather was fabulous! We had a foot of snow just two days ago and it's all melted now! Yay! Beau would live outside if I would let him. Of course, TK would too!

All the grandkids have made these little garden stones and Beau desperately tried to pick his up. I must say, I was quite impressed.

Oh! And he finally got a haircut!

I should have put a picture of TK's deer on here sooner. I don't know why I haven't. Well, here it is. Beau thinks it's pretty cool. And TK thinks that's pretty cool.

I know my child is wonderfully fabulous but all I notice in this picture is all the fingerprints and who knows what else on the tv!

My Birthday and My Baby

Oh how I love that little nose, and teeth, and eyes,
and hair, and smile, and everything!

These roses are from my dad for my birthday! Aren't they pretty? I was happily surprised when they came to the door yesterday morning. Thanks dad!

And buggy lookin fantastic, as usual, even when he is desperate for
a hair cut!

I had to change Beau's diaper, and clothes, cause of an awful mess. So,

after finding some clean clothes, Beau met me in the hallway...naked...holding

the fresh diaper I had just put on him. I do appreciate him bringing

it to me rather than hiding it somewhere. Let the undressing of himself

begin! Oh dear.

(I deleted the picture that goes with the above caption of Beau's nakedness. I don't know how to make this thing private and I don't want any yucky yuckos on here! Ya feel me?)

Oh Me Oh My

Beau will turn 2 in July. Ugh. I'm pretty sure he is hitting the terrible two's a wee bit early. He is beginning to test me and see what he can and can't get away with. Ugh. He pinches, hits, and bites. Not very often, but it does happen. He's starting to play rough...and I'm ok with that. It's part of being a boy. Not the biting though. That's never ok. I know sometimes it's due to him teething, but lately he bites my toes when he gets frustrated. And I have a problem with laughing at things that need to be taken seriously! So, I have to try and hold it in until after I have a little talk with him. Then I crack up! Well, sometimes.

Beau is very adventurous and persistent! He loves to climb on everything! He is beginning to get himself up onto the couch all by himself. The other day I came out of the bathroom to find Beau standing on the arm of the couch. He was trying to climb onto the window seal which is behind couch. He fell. He hit his head on some TV trays, but is ok. He was just scared. It could have been real bad, cause he could've hit his head on the tile that's in front of the fire place. I know I can't control these things. But I can try to prevent them. I have heard too many stories of freak accidents and kids getting really hurt, sometimes fatally. I need to stop stressin! Beau hadn't even finished crying when he got up and wanted to try again, but mean mommy wouldn't let him this time! I obviously don't want him to get hurt, but I think it's pretty fabulous that he dusted himself off and was ready for round two!
