Beau turned 9 months on April 25th, and had his 9 month check up shortly after. He weighs 21lbs. 10 oz., is 28" long, and just overall healthy. He stopped drinking formula about 2 months ago. Not because I wanted him to, but he simply won't take it. And if he does try he will most likely throw it up. We have tried whole milk, but he won't take it from a bottle. So I have to give him little bits at a time from a cup. He is on a vitamin, that is a must since he isn't drinking any formula and very little whole milk. It's frustrating, and at times like this I wish I could've breast fed. For those who don't know, I got really sick with Mastitis (breast infection). I was hospitalized for a few days and told to stop breast feeding all together. Again, frustrating. But, Beau seems to be as healthy as can be, and the vitamin should help.
Even more exciting news! Buggy now has 2 teeth! He got his first at 8 1/2 months. And then the 2nd like 2 weeks after. It's his two bottom teeth. It's so cute. I am trying to get a picture, but he won't let anyone near those things. They aren't fully in yet and I am sure it's still sensitive, so as soon as they are sticking all they way up, which I cannot wait for, I'll get a good pic. He has been a trooper. He is of course cranky at times, but I think he has been really good. No fevers, just a sore mouth. A little orajel and tylenol seem to do the trick. I feel blessed to have such a sweet little boy. I mean, like everyone, he has his moments, but over all he is just heavenly. I know I am suppose to feel this way, being his mom and all, but I have known kids that seem to cry all the time and parents who are constantly trying to entertain their little ones, and I don't have to do that. I love to entertain Bugs but I don't really HAVE to. He will even sit and look at a book by himself now. It's the cutest thing to see him turn the page and look at it so seriously. Oh I just love being a mommy.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I know I did. We didn't go anywhere. We just hung out at home and it was perfect. I got a cute card (and cash!) from TK and Beau, to do whatever I wish. Whoo Hoo!
You are such a good Mommy and now you get to enjoy Mother's Day every year!! Can't wait to see him and how much he has grown come July. I love when you post pictures he grows so fast. Don't worry about the milk. He seems healthy to me and get's calcium from the vitamin. Maybe when he is older he can try Chocolate Milk Yummy!!! Love you so much
ReplyDeleteHe is cuter all the time. And he seems more and more like a toddler all the time. He sure looks like you and TK. Exactly halfway between you both. I understand, too. I love being a daddy.
